In silent hill you can be in the mall get you a fitted and next thing you know the walls bleeding horns blaring and mannequins climbing out the dry wall. thats a fukked up world. I remember it was some word doc on gamefaqs detailing the entire mythos of silent hill, the shyt is like a novel

If we got a director that was true to the source material it would literally be one of the best horror movies ever

I chose Fallout.

I've never played those games but I have played the Silent Hill ones.

Trying to navigate down those foggy streets and dark hallways already have me

I sure as hell couldn't cope living there.

The fallout world is so varied though.

Fallout 1 and 2: California was crazy. I only played Fallout 1 and it seemed a bit more scary and crazy than DC. California was weird in a more sci fi type way.

Fallout 3: DC was ravaged pimps, gang bangers, drug dealers, vigilante white boys (BOS), elitist 1%'s, mercenaries, cannibals, super mutants, death claws, a growing dictatorship, and multiple townships--all trying to maintain independence and autonomy- pure anarchy. It will be very hard to survive in a word like that as it would be in a constant state of warfare like a fragmented Saddam-less Iraq.

Fallout new Vegas: the west coast was finally stabilized by a centralized power (NCR), and the mid-west was controlled by another stabilizing power (Caesars legion). A centralized power maximizes a normal citizen's survival.

I believe in the Hobbesian leviathan, therefore, I think NCR controlled west coast would actually be a nice place to live.
