I've been saying for years that Cyclops is actually him when he's written correctly, but nobody wants to hear that because they're following the Wolverine bandwagon. Dudes don't read, and a lot of them are ONLY speaking from their rose tinted memories of the 90s cartoon series.
Cyclops is still the most MACKISH X-man to this day, and stays pulling baddies.

(OP really should have been more specific about not needing the visor to control the optic blasts from the beginning though.)

Cyclops relys on his visor to control his optic blast, without it his blast are always full powered. And those optics blast are no joke.


I'd argue heat vision would be far easier to control, you might level a city block trying to use an optics blast and forgetting you aren't wearing your visor.

I'll choose bıtch ass Cyclops optic blast easily because you can control the level of it to cause a minimal small concussion on some covert shıt or to simply disintegrate someone on an omega level blasts.

You can't control the level of heat like a concussion blast. At minimal, it's a laser pointer.
