Movie is pretty original besides the bloody mary type of origin candyman has. The movie is more of social commentary about the inner city though. The film was made in cabrini green

Had to bring this thread back up, bout to watch this again, shyt is one of the GOAT horror movies I know

dont know if its been posted, but the director had to hypnotize a motherfukker to get her to do scenes a certain way. crazy
I wouldn't call the movie top 5 but it is a horror classic, and that scene with the psychiatrist is truly amazing.
The way they build up the suspense while at the same time convincing you that Candyman isn't going to appear, only to have him pop up from behind.
And that Philip Glass soundtrack. That beautiful, terrifyingly frightening Philip Glass soundtrack.
