maybe for the 90's. my favorite thing about it was the music (the gawd Philip Glass), almost too good for a cheap horror movie. and i liked the part where the gangster tried to act like the candyman.

Somehow I watched this movie in a room with like 5 huge mirrors as a kid. I was on

I wouldn't call the movie top 5 but it is a horror classic, and that scene with the psychiatrist is truly amazing.
The way they build up the suspense while at the same time convincing you that Candyman isn't going to appear, only to have him pop up from behind.
And that Philip Glass soundtrack. That beautiful, terrifyingly frightening Philip Glass soundtrack.

It's a pretty unique horror movie. It came out at a time where they throwing horror movie sequels at you each and every month so it was a breath of fresh air. Plus, Candyman is one of the few brothas who's a horror movie serial killer.*cuts off light*

On the real, I saw Candyman at a pretty young age so I would try that and the Chucky chant all the time to see if either of them would actually work.
