You're contradicting yourself. You acknowledge that humans place significance value on their relationships with dogs, what you call an "animal," while arguing that they're lower than us and undeserving of such considerations. Yet you also place other "animals" in lower tiers of significance. Which is it?
I'm not placing any animal in lower tiers. I'm bringing up other animals for comparison.
So if your dog was sick and the doctor said the surgery was 100k, you'd go and get a loan or does Fido get put to sleep?I've had my dog since 2005. I'm keeping him for that ragedy ass 100k. That number is too low to even consider. You going have to come with at least 7 figures and I gotta have say so on where he goes.
Some of yall sound really disturbed though. There is a middle ground between cacs calling their dogs "kids" and hating dogs. There is a normal level of enjoying your dog's companionship.

looks like YOU placed them in lower tiers.
Before I had a dog I would've say yes. I wouldn't sell my Tyson for anything
with that bullshytThis! I kinda get why some say yes
But my dog has legit saved my life like twice. I couldn’t sell him
kind of life you living? Did you fall into a well and Lassie had to come save you?A lot of people are associating human emotions to an animal. I don't think the dog is being loyal, I think, much like a robot, it is programmed to protect and serve you. The reason you associate that with loyalty is because you're human and you associate things with your emotion. They've been bred to serve humans, they are like robots, is a robot loyal? no. It's just programmed to do what it does. They are hard wired, just like the dog has been. When you sell your dog, guess what? He will now be loyal to his new rich owner that will feed him the finest meats. Congrats, you played yourself.
Humans do that, they depict things with human traits, they give aliens limbs, they assign animals with emotions. They paint gods with races. It's a way for humans to relate.
I think you have to be extremely desperate for cash to sell a dog for 100K. If someone told me 100 million, I might consider it. But 100K to just up and sell off a part of my life with which I've established a unique bond that has comforted me through some of my worst times? Nah, I'm good.
$100K is not chump change.
$100K is not chump change.
100K is light. Stop.
