I think the NBA could make the Finals MVP race a lot more interesting and make it a compelling TV story. To do so, they could:
1) Pick and name MVP for each game of Finals.
2) Each game is worth 1 point in MVP voting.
3) Elimination games are worth 2 points.
4) Game 7 MVP is worth 3 points.
Games were a player gets a unanimous vote might also be worth an extra point.
I came up with this while talking to my girl about Finals MVP being just as important as regular season MVP. She wondered why they didn't talk about it more during the finals if it was a big deal. She claims to have never heard them talk about it from game to game (i know that's not true).
Thoughts?
