I think Nicole said they got full blown tutorials on reddit for how to fake that shyt now.

this is why you need trusted mods with good instincts.

:sas1:

A banned subreddit I was on did tiers of verification, one for everybody unverified, one for pics and one for videos of written usernames. Mods need to verify first of course.

how do you feel about verification
I don’t think it’s necessary. Which is why I think a set of bannable offenses would be helpful. That way anyone who’s in violation of those rules is immediately banned.

Open registration would require more mods to control the new incoming population.

I want @Brooklynzson to make money off this site. I know he’s not making as much as he can with it’s current state.

Let's be real, a lot of people here want new members strictly so there's fresh fodder to shyt on, ban, run neg trains, etc.
I think it’s the opposite. I think older posters are unwilling to let go of the status quo.

When we had an influx of new posters they rebelled against the ideas of OG posters and weren’t able to be controlled. It was exciting to see actually.

Depends on who are the mods. If I can be a mod, then sure. :youngsabo:

An open, more anonymous section might actually work well in that it would drive a lot of traffic with the problem being all the costs and such that such would entail and would be great as a means of allowing black people, especially black men, to get shyt off their chest (complain about their day and seek advice) without feeling judged.

The creation of a "rookie" board would be cool as well and would entail less changes. The way this board is set-up is very nice and there are whole sections that exist on their own to the point that they might as well be separate boards, with the only thing limiting them being traffic. I used to get confused as to why some sections acted as autonomous entities but it is easy to see how. A rookie board could be used, with only notable posters being let out. Again though, the issue of costs and time is of concern. The return on investment would be a problem. Advertisers regard these boards as a whole, not the sections as a part (I assume) and he'd have to pull some slick shyt like the ***** admins and create a separate but connected site like 4channel. Combined with verification, that would be nice but the problem with skin verification is that somehow, someone will misconstrue that as eliciting pictures and somehow turn something innocent into something pernicious.
Something that uses the vichan software (like 8chan) that allows you to create your own moderated subsection would be good but it would have to regulated hard for obvious reasons. :jbhmm:

Yes, I've been thinking about this off and on so excuse my rambling. :hamster:
