Let’s say the place wasn’t haunted, or you didn’t know. Would you take a job at a remote resort for a couple months, and the only people you’d come in contact with are your wife and kids? Let’s say you were single. Could you live in total isolation that long?

You could say it would be like the COVID lockdowns, but it wouldn’t be. During COVID, you could still go to the store with a mask, you could still be defiant, and visit people. You could still see your neighbors when you get your mail, or chill in the backyard.

This would be total isolation, in the mountains, in a hotel. I guess it would be different now because of the internet, and streaming.
