Yeah my job I have right now is an hour away but I love it.

Job I had before this one was an hour away, too. And the one before that. Went in for 6 and was out by 3 :blessed: An hour isn't even that long of a drive lol

Only thing that sucks is my o2 sensor is busted so my car eats up gas

my commute is 50 miles/one way.... 1-1.5 hr.

however...I'm out on biz travel 60-80% of the year. so I don't have to make the commute all that often

I wouldn't want that life, but it would be a necessary evil. Both uncle and aunt that live in Dallas (DeSoto.... Suburb in south metro) drives 45 minutes to 1hr every day to their jobs. The cost to live in downtown would eat up all of their income. They've been hustling since they moved to Duncanville from Oklahoma in the late 80's.... They're completely secure now though.... 500-750K house that they live in, 3 expensive autos and still own the HUD home that my cousin now lives in.

My last job, and the one im about to get, will pay all my months bills with less than half of my first check.

That is worth the hour drive. Days off be like :dj2:
Yeah I did. I was working in a warehouse making $9/hr. Found an IT help desk job starting at $20/hr.

An hour both ways but it was more than worth it.
This exactly the shyt im aiming for. Getting my certs and hitting this job I just got, then put in work next year to get in proper IT. 20 to start is nothing to sneeze at.

shyt I still think about how lucky I got. Lol. The warehouse job had me putting tools in a toolbox on an assembly line. 8 hours a day... Damn my day just got a lot better thinking about where I used to be. Lol

Gotta be 6 figures.

In my family case, this seems to be the case.... not counting my uncle's coins, but he is a rail supervisor for DART and he refs high school football games, on top of, event security at American Airlines Area....

His wife is basically a nursing director.... has to drive one hour to DFW International and travels all over the US.... definitely over 6 figures....

This is worth a 45 minute to one hour drive.

Haha, for sure. I'm getting up at 2am to load trucks. Now :whoa:The money is STRAIGHT and I have all day to do what I want...but I wouldn't have to grind like this if my ass
just gets outta debt, nahmean? Got an electronic repair gig for $17 full time on the way that will hopefully translate into IT and Customer service experience after I cop my A+ and CCENT this fall.

Hoping to blow up next year by fall:ohlawd:With *zero* debt.
