Here’s what should scare you shytless about Jayden:

1) He is doing this with a bottom 10 receiving core and and defense. Allen, Mahomes, and Lamar all have top 10 defenses.

2) Rookie deal

We’ve heard it plenty about the advantage of being on a rookie deal. The Chiefs won 3 chips before Mahomes deal really kicked in, and the eagles have one of the best rosters in recent memory

The kicker is this:

A) we didn’t expect Hurts to be a bit of a mirage. If he developed at the rate we expected, that team should never lose. But he didn’t. Daniels doesn’t seem like he’ll regress or plateau

B) Daniels is going to have two more years than hurts had on a rookie deal. Hurts sat the bench in year 1 plus he was a 2nd round pick, 4 year deal instead of 5. So they only got 3 ‘cheat code’ years out of him. Commanders will get 5.

So imagine Jayden Daniels but with the eagles roster It’s gona happen

eagles fan and im 50/50 on it. ive strongly learned to be more cautious with my future expectations after seeing wentz & hurts not replicate their breakout seasons. both had MVP worthy seasons and most likely wouldve won it if not for injuries (both 2nd team all pro with 3+ games missed). jayden does seem to be the real deal, but who knows what the future holds. if we had 2 years of this type of tape, then it is 100% yes, but 1 year lowkey isnt enough for me to jump for joy and get rid of a proven winner for him.

I do believe Penix will be good, but he's not as good as Daniels.
