Hold or carry your girlfriends purse at the mall while she runs into the dressing room to try something on?Or what if she forgot her purse in the car then asks you to go retrieve it. I told her no simply because I don't think a man should be carrying or be in possession of a female's purse at all. Did I overreact ? was that the proper response my girlfriend should have gotten?And what would you have done differently.

Maybe my girlfriend was testing me to see if I had female tendencies who knows but where do you draw the line?when it comes to holding it while she tries on shoes or does it stop when she wantd you to carry it from the parking lot into the mall because she forgot it in the car.

I think that you should hold it while she's trying stuff on. If she forgot it in the car, both of you should go get it. You shouldn't carry her purse all throughout the mall, but you should carry her shopping bags.
