nikkas need to step their reading comprehension game up. The nikka asked could he destroy PGs today. The answer is no and for that reason, he'd be playing SF 95% of the gotdamn time.

No one said magic WASN'T one of the greatest players of all time.

Never disagreed with this, I was specifically talking about Magic trying to guard explosive point guards, which he can't do. :yeshrug:
They won't be exploding past anybody when they are watching magic vs Duncan in the finals year after year.
All this talk of speed and it's nikkas like dirk, shaq and Duncan who walk away with the titles. Meanwhile Westbrook and rose haven't won shyt. Lebron didn't win until he learned to slow down and post up. Kobe mj and Isaiah are rare champions.

LOL @ this. So the fact that they're athletic/fast is the reason they HAVEN'T won titles? And LOL @ the "rare" champions you named having won a combined 13 champions.

And all of this talk is nonsense anyway, seeing as TEAMS win championships, not individual players. If you surround generational talent (Duncan, Magic, LeBron, Shaq, Kobe, Jordan, Isiah) with a great team, they're going to win the championship.

@Weedizmedicine is correct Kobe & Jordan are very rare, the best of the best.

And Isiah needed Laimbeer, Prime Rodman and Mahorn....

Just like Kobe needed Shaq, Gasol, Bynum, and Odom. Just like Jordan needed Phil, Scottie, Horace Grant, Rodman, and Tex Winters's offense.

Isiah's the only player from the NBA's Top 50 who never played with another Top 50 player. Think about that for a second.

You can't name great players who won championships without strong lineups around them.

That's true but you're missing the point. Most teams need a great half court offense to win rings. You can't put a bunch of iso players and transition scoters together and expect to win. The slower teams historically get in that ass in the playoffs. and Magic was the all time greatest at running a half court offense. and he could still fukk these nikkas up with that transition passing.

When Magic was a 20 year old rookie he had 42 points in game 6 with Kareem injured to the win the NBA finals.

What can top that?
