For one, martial arts has nothing to do with my age.
And two, im not knocking martial arts but I have to defend boxing because you mms heads act like if you take boxing you're inferior.
Yes martial arts should be learned instead of basic street fighting. But also, boxing, krav maga and other things.
They're all advanced styles.
But you got yall mma dudes talking about OH YOU GOTTA TAKE A MARTIAL ARTS BECAUSE A BOXER CANT FIGHT ON THE GROUND.

I put my son in BJJ class and took a few classes. and for the most part the bolded is right. I boxed from my teens into my 20's and I'll be the first to say when the fight gets taken to the ground, the boxing goes out the window. Because boxing has everything to do with your feet and balance. The floor is a whole notha' world. Same time, you take a BJJ dude and put him in the ring and he probably gets rained on with combos. So, I see what your sayin' but boxing is useless when your on the floor.

i'm not saying it's widescale like that but I have noticed an MMA class at the mall in my town and witnessed a whiteboy using MMA/karate style techniques to fend off a yoked up nikka twice his size in jail he was scrapping with..while the brother left a tumor sized knot on this cac head he didn't put him to sleep and caught ate a few round house kicks to the grill in the process...i really don't know why the nikka didn't try to catch the leg or move in to thump this cac lthen ground and pound ike the hillbilly from the video.

No doubt, I'm not a supporter of any one style of defense, I just think people should know how to defend themselves in this day and age.

Well after years of primitive arm falling, with some success, he thought he was an expert until he ran into a guy that did Judo, who quickly dispatched him with ease.
