This was absolute prime Beyoncé. She looked her absolute best when she was in that wack ass Carmen movie on MTV around that time:

Yep. She was young: she was 19 or 20.
Prime Beyonce was something, I have to admit now.

Probably Listen

I can see her writing Bootylicious though.

Edit: It was for the deep and complex lyrics of “Independent Women Part I,” “Jumpin Jumpin” and “Survivor.” Might as well had gave it to Afroman for Cause I Got High

Also, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

Like Aaliyahs records were so complex and deep lol.... yall try too hard

Uncle was probably just trying to use Beys name for clout

But it's not far fetched she coulda helped Aaliyah with a hook, melodies, vocal arrangements which counts as song writing

First of all At your Best (Age Ain't Nuthin but a Number album) was released in 1994 when Beyonce was 12 and is deeper than anything she has ever done in her life. That whole album had a depth that was leagues beyond Jumpin Jumping.

Second of all, you telling me a Texas high school kid named Beyonce was specifically picked to ghost write songs for Aaliyah, and then went on to write for nobody else.

Third of all R. Kelly.... Missy Elliot... Timbaland

Aaliyah was more than likely going to hook back up with Kelly and have him write her some new music. Because her last album before she died was on it's way to flopping

Aaliyahs lyrical content was standard rnb fare for early to late 90s

And who said Bey wrote on Age Ain't Nothing But A Number

Who said Bey was chosen to be her ghost writer .... I didnt...her unc didnt

The track(s) they worked on could have been unreleased... Coulda been a simple suggestion regarding a melody or hook that she didnt want credit for

Destiny's Child worked with Missy alot in their early career. Also Tim and Static. Not farfetched to believe DC and Aaliyah ran into each other in the studio...they were friendly

Bey been in the biz since 14, 15 and has been heavily involved in the writing of her records ...so it goes beyond DC's Jumpin, jumpin and Bootylicious

She has also helped to write for other artist

The Set
Dame and Jay have bigger egos for sure. Much of the public perception might come from them.

The fact that we haven't heard of any exchanges between Bey and Aaliyah makes me more inclined to believe him.

*dont make it bigger than it is guys. There is a difference between ghostwriting and collabing. The very earliest footage we have of Bey showed that she would be a star.

Aaliyah had potential deeper than music. We dont have to pit them against each other to appreciate their greatness

Are you really arguing an unproven rumor based so many 6 degrees of separation? Why? What do you hope to gain?

The truth is she didn't write those songs, even stuff like bootylicious, nor has her she ever came close to writing anything for Aaliyah. She probably contributed just enough to get a writing credit for the Destiny Child's stuff, but naw.... Aaliyah doesn't even have a song that sounds like something Beyonce wrote. And there is no way her media machine wouldn't have been shoved that down our throats.

You even know this, but you won't give up cause being "wrong" on a message board is considered a sign of weakness. I just don't understand it.
