Doesn't really bother me seeing as Leon specifically says no, it kinda used to, but even as dense as he is, he knows its still wrong. He couldn't smack her around when she got them kicked out of the hotel, showing us the morality and values to not be a bad person even though he's a top hit man. So to me it's just like lone wolf and cub only the cub here is a coming of age girl, and you know the lone wolf would have to put up with that shyt as well.

This was kinda obvious watching the whole film so this makes sense. Not surprised they cut it from the film, it didn't really need to be in there.

They already implied it when they left in the bits where she wakes up next to him, and where she says to the hotel clerk that Leon was her lover - I remember being like 11 watching that scene for the first time thinking "this is awkward". Unrelated, but I thought she was cute first time I watched the film .
