How was Toronto NOT chosen? Like Canada is known to have a crazy wrestling fanbase, you've still got Harts in the business and TO has had a huge surge in popularity the past few years. They're dumb.
I know :mjcry: It's been nothing but house shows. shyt, the last PPV was 2006. All we had since was Raw from a few years back. We caught a break with this garbage house show turning into a Network special, lol.

Think it has more to do with it being a customs nightmare :mjcry:

Too close to baseball season to use Rogers Centre

Philly should happen soon if nothing else for a grand induction for Heyman

To be honest, some of the College Stadiums would be amazing venues to hold a Mania

All well in excess of 100,000 (and that's just seats) so they could actually get like 130,000 or so in some of these stadiums.

:dahell: They've already held 2 WMs there, the Jays have always been tenants since day one. Baseball is not the reason for no Mania.

They wanna spread the juice. Plus the chosen venues offer low rent. It's a big battle erry year for the right to host, VKM sits back and waits 4 the best offer. Expect new areas like SD, Minnesota, Indy, maybe St Louis. Wrestling doesn't need to spread to T.O., I doubt they'll return there.

Wrestlemania X8 was held March 17, so that was done in plenty of time before that season (first home game was April 4)

In 1990, the Jays didn't open at home til April 10, 10 days after that Wrestlemania happened.

Time difference be too much would have to start mania at like 1 am for it to be live.Just don't think they'll ever do that.

Florida is good for international fans though cos it's way cheaper to fly there than most places in the states, especially like texas or whatever. So be a big crowd from europe at 33 too.

There's only like 5 hours difference in the spring time between London and NYC. Ideally they could start the show live 6pm UK time which would mean Mania is a 1pm afternoon show for viewers on the East Coast and Central time. Only problem would be West Coast fans complaining about having to get up at 9am on a Sunday to watch the show (Which :pachaha: if thats viewed as a problem)

I think the bigger problem is the whether. At best it would be like Mania 29 and risk of rain or colder than normal Late March, early April weather. It should kinda be decent whether you never know

The other thing is do they go straight into the European/UK tour as well which might be a bit exhausting for the roster wthout that house show break between Mania and the Euro/Middle East tours that they normally give them

Also I dont know what the venues will be for the other companies wanting to do wrestling related events around town (Wrestlecon, RoH, Evolve, Q&As) you could but it maybe expensive for them (which might give Vince all the more reason to do a show overseas since he hates that stuff)

They could do it. Everything would be a bit spread for events (O2 for Raw and Smackdown, Wembley Arena for Hall of Fame, use Earl's Court or Excel for Access..I think there's still that convention center in Wembley)

People say when the last Mania was there the travelling and roads were a nightmare to get around. Can anyone confirm this?

Sources within Universal Studios have toldAttractions Management that its park in Orlando, Florida, is to open a WWE-museum-cum-restaurant, which will be open by the time the world’s largest wrestling brand rolls into town for Wrestlemania 33 in 2017.

Replacing NBA City at Universal CityWalk adjacent to the theme park, the WWE attraction would incorporate some form of a physical Hall of Fame – displaying famous wrestling memorabilia of the promotion’s legendary performers.

Similar in style to The World – WWE’s former restaurant which occupied a prime spot in Times Square until its closure in 2003 – the restaurant element would incorporate WWE merchandise with a retail area, and multiple screens would show wrestling action while visitors eat their WWE-themed meals.

Orlando is becoming somewhat of a home-away-from home for the Connecticut-based WWE, which also has its Performance Center – the training facility where the professional wrestling organisation hones its future stars – and Full Sail University, where it regularly films its NXT show.

WWE officially announced today (8 March) that Orlando will be the home of Wrestlemania, which drew more than 74,000 people when the event happened there in 2008.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that mayor Buddy Dyer, along with governor Rick Scott, Orange County mayor Teresa Jacobs and WWE chair and CEO Vince McMahon will be on hand at the Citrus Bowl later today to make the formal announcement of Wrestlemania 33's location.

To fall under the Wrestlemania timeframe, the new WWE attraction at Universal Studios will be open by March 2017, with the event taking place on 2 April 2017.

I don't know what museum-cum-restaurant means but I damn near busted a nut over all this wrestlemania news. :blessed:
