Was at a show tonight and this shyt was killer overload.

-whips wrestler to corner, runs, jumps and does a 360 for a clothesline.

-irish whip to ropes, hits a 360 shoulder press.

-runs to corner, handsprings, delivers elbow not in motion.

-Hero's 360 big boot.

shyt is fukkin unnecessary. :scust:

Only acceptable moves are the roaring elbow and discuss lariat.

Canadian destroyer. 450 Splash. Moonsault. Harlem Hangover. All these because of the revolution of the body add impact to the original move. Sometimes they make sense.

There's way too much of that going on in wrestling nowadays. It's like at some point dudes forgot that wrestling is simulated conflict. In any real fight whether street or professional the name of the game is urgency. In a street fight I'm trying to beat up the other guy as quickly as possible so I can get the fukk out of there in case his people try to jump me. In a sanctioned fight (which is what wrestling imitates) I'm trying to beat the other dude up as we quickly as possible because I don't get paid by the hour. Either way I'm not doing a somersault or twirling like a ballerina before I hit you.

One that really gets me (because its supposed to be a finisher) is Jay Lethal's Lethal Injection I have yet to see a match where he hit that and it didn't make everyone involved look stupid. DDP and Randy Orton made sure that the cutter is certified as a finisher. Jay looks like an idiot for wasting time by running to the ropes doing a handstand, bouncing off the ropes, getting back on his feet (which kills any momentum from running anyway) and THEN hitting the cutter. The other guy looks like a fool for standing there and watching all of that shyt. Sometimes less is more.

It's funny you pointed this out. I'm watching a NJPW match between Liger and Akira, the match is straight to the point with a bit of lightweight moves. Fast forward to nowadays, wrestlers doing WAY too much just to do a friggin clothesline. It's rather annoying and takes away from the entire story being told in the ring which wrestlers nowadays keep forgetting that matters the most.
