Cats ain't gonna name the #1 person in this aspect, HHH?

Not only did this dude overachieve from a character POV but from a professional POV, he basically is next in line to inherit the damn company. This was a guy that was fueding with Marc Mero and Henry O. Godwinn when he came in, for a dude to come up as much as he did with his level of talent (Haitch is good, but does not have top tier talent) is INSANE.

HHH had the BEST career of the Kliq members and affilates..... think about that for a second....

One title reign for Kelly Kelly is big overachieving. She had no business wrestling period. She would have been a better valet.
Honestly I find the difference between the divas that are considered good and bad to be very small. A lot of it seems to have to do with she was a model so she's bad or she wrestled on the indies so she's good. Everyone gets the divas title once now days. Even Alicia Fox who never seems to do anything had one or two reigns. It's meaningless. Divas matches are typically 3 minutes or less. Even if one of the divas improved a lot she wouldn't really get to prove it within 3 minutes. Kelly was one of the more popular divas for a few years so it makes sense for her to get the title. Me and you clearly have very different views on wrestling but it doesn't mean one of us is trolling, we just like different things.

arguable.

longevity wise yes but that's because he owns the label and forces the dj's to keep playin his shyt.

but he never peaked as high as hbk did.

His big run as main eventer during the mid 2000s kind of exposed him in-ring wise. He definitely padded his resume.

HHH had/has a longer career, made more money, held more titles and longer reigns, main evented more PPVs AND Wrestlemanias, and now runs the place. If its arguable it won't be a long one.

How he reached his achievements isn't really the focus of the thread, but does it really matter? The fact is, by hook or by crook, he has that status.

But does that matter for the purpose of this thread?

There isn't a single wrestler that started out as low as HHH did and rose as high as he did. He practically runs the company at this point, he's reached a level beyond "a worker".

:patrice:

How did Michaels peak higher than Triple H? Was it being the third wheel in the Austin/Tyson story or was it being the top guy in the worst period in WWF history?

eh, i was never much of a stat geek.

career stats don't enlighten you to the whole story.

hhh's "status" in the wrestling world will never eclipse shawn's.

Bruh, I'm just saying by every tangible level of judgment HHH had a better career than HBK. He was never a better in ring talent than HBK was but neither was Hulk Hogan and John Cena and they had better careers than HBK did too. HBK even had to retire at a point which cut years off what would have been his prime. HBK is an all time great, but comparing careers he wouldn't even be top 20, HHH would be.

How do you call Kevin Nash the greatest but make a statement like that? :leostare:
I said one of the greatest. Honestly I wasn't a huge fan of Diesel but when he went to WCW and became Nash he was a lot better. Everyone knows the "New Generation" sold terribly and its easily the least popular "era" of the WWF days. When HBK was supposedly out peaking HHH, WCW was destroying HBK's company and WWF only turned things around after HBK left (obviously not because HBK left but he wasn't there). 2000 WWF is one of the mostly fondly remembered times in WWF history and the biggest wrestler that year was either Rock or Triple H. I'd say it's pretty clear that Triple H out peaked Michaels, not that it matters for anything.
