Nova in ecw always had a real dope moveset.
Also always felt Mitsuhara Misawa in AJPW was the best wrestler I've ever seen ability wise. I feel like it he was around now he'd be in that Nakamura position of being a bigger deal on a global scale than he was. Watch his singles and tags from 90-96. Stuff today still ain't passed it.

Glad to see Bad News Brown getting props. He was a classic heel and should have gotten at least an IC run. Unlike a lot of heels today he knew how to draw heat and white people legit feared him. Hell some of us black folk did too.
although by today's standards he'd be the rock, compared to the talent back then BNB wasn't dynamite on the mic.

he was good in his role, a solid mid card heel.

then again if HONKY TONK could get a run...:francis:

Kofi and shamrock to some extent .

Beat me to it. Read the whole thread and started thinking about Ken Shamrock being ahead of his time, when you consider guys like Angle, Daniel Bryan, Brock Lesnar, Kyle O'Reilly, and Zack Sabre, Jr.

You've got so many guys incorporating the stiff shoot-fighting into their ring work. Hell, look at how the MMA wave influenced The Undertaker of all people. Imagine if Shamrock was 15-20 years younger and working today.

Imagine if Shamrock would've upped the work-rate as time went on and came back to have a match with Angle in his prime.:mjcry:

Jumping bomb angels. ...go watch the first survivor series from f***in 1987 and your basically seeing two gayle Kim or Litas but in 1987....there were no women touching them at that time

I'll raise you Jaguar Yokota. She was working like that in the late 70s and early 80s. Also influenced Manami Toyota.

Speaking of Shamrock, Dan Severn should have done better in the WWE but he had the personality of a cardboard box. :francis:

:mjlol: at this ridiculous angle they proposed for him.

Dan Severn Reveals Angle That Caused Him To Leave WWE, Idea He Had To Shoot In The Royal Rumble - WrestlingInc.com

Severn talked about coming into WWE as a babyface. A road agent pitched him an idea to tattoo "666" on his forehead ("the mark of the beast") and become an Undertaker disciple. Severn had no interest in the angle, and noted that he lived in a small town and didn't want any repercussions from it. Severn said that the road agent then told him that they could start using him poorly and lose matches. Severn noted that "you could ask me to lose a match," but what would happen if he would turn fantasy into reality and make their stars look silly

Superfly Jimmy Snuka...

One of the early Samoans in the game... and was the only guy in his era comin' off the top of THE CAGE when just coming off the top rope was considered a big move.

High key, Mike Awesome.

He was essentially the blueprint for :brawk: , in my opinion, and was one of the best wrestlers in the world when he jumped to WCW as ECW champion. Super athletic powerhouse hardcore wrestling big man that could fly. If WCW hadn't ruined him, he could have absolutely been champion there and if he'd come up in this generation, he'd be over as fukk.
