Rick Martel... I didn't care for Strike Force, and I just thought he was a corny fakkit when he turned heel and did the "Model" gimmick. But dude is very underrated when it comes to heels of that era. He was able to get heat just as much as Perfect, Rude, and DiBiase did, and was just as good in the ring... he just never got that serious-serious push.

Terry Taylor... being saddled with one of the most ridiculous gimmicks ever just did this dude more harm than good. He was never able to fully come back from that, even after he went to WCW. He was a solid wrestler who probably could've had some good years in WWF and WCW if only he hadn't been turned into the Red Rooster. Especially since he was originally supposed to have the "Mr. Perfect" gimmick :sadcam:.

I'd say Lawler. Always enjoyed his heel commentary of course, but I thought his wrestling character was a corny-ass fool, especially with that damn crown and those tights. :scusthov:

But I've watched a lot of those old matches from the Mid-South Coliseum and the truth is that Lawler can work a crowd better than all but a few in the history of the business. Granted, most of those crowds were in the South and Lawler's brand of ring psychology probably works better there than anywhere else, but he seemed to always know exactly what to do to get a huge reaction.

And not too many dudes can think on their feet better than Lawler can. One of the best talkers in the game, even to this day.

I didn't really like Sid growing up. I thought he was a goof. But now looking back at his matches, they were pretty decent for a big man. And he was all types of unintentional comedy. He's a pioneer in #fukkery .

I agree with @DANJ! about Rick Martel. Same sort of thing with Rick Rude too. I thought he was just as :wrist: as Hickenbottom, but looking back, his heel swagger was incredible.

Goldust

As a youngin I wrote him off as a fakkit. Until I relaized later his psychology was :wow: and will prolly never be duplicated In this era and the future

Yep, perfect example of a dude who grew on people. I think almost everybody hated him at first.

Kane . His big red justice return of Paul bearer run was pretty good . And edge now that he's gone :to: I miss him . Guys like him and punk remind me of how good mike work can get or keep you over . I miss Batista I liked all his runs :yeshrug: he also shyts on shame (not as much but hes corny) and ryback by a mile . His high impact offense is missed his spear , spinebuster , Batista bomb :leon: and his mike work too .
