I never liked the joke because it falls under 'divide and rule' creating nothing but useless division
A single joke made you feel that way? Really?

So you get mad when people say they "real nikkas" too?

they love him, but he tells them about their ass all the time. Strange fascination.....
This. Black people sensitive as hell. First you cant critic the community unless you shyt on white folks.

Now what. Chris rock stay shytting on why white folls.

Sounds like the author and some of you are looking for something to be offended by and care entirely too much about what a certain faction of white people think. I don't blame Chris Rock -- it could've and would've been something else by someone else that racists would have taken advantage of to justify and propagate their drivel. Like you guys are so fond of saying, CACs are gonna CAC anyway, right? Either the author didn't "get" the joke in its context or he's taking things too seriously to try and make a point.

it was stupid regardless.

this half breh broke it down nicely

Good video. I also reserve the right of smart black people to occasionally say dumb shyt without cacs using it as an excuse to be racist. If it wasn't Rock it'd be another quote.

So let me get this straight. Chris Rock is wrong for calling out the crabs in the barrell as them relishing in ignorance and rejecting knowledge is actually some grand sacrifice for the greater good.:wtf: It's his fault that racist white folks have used that joke, like they have used many other things to try to legitimize racism? :dwillhuh: :camby: The writer is basically doing to Rock what he is admonishing Rock for doing to others. He's blaming his commentary for things that are actually a result of white supremacy. Racists will use anything real or fake to push their bullshyt. I'm sure everything would be just perfect right now if Rock never makes that joke and Cosby and Barkley stfu :comeon:. Beyond all that black people who aren't "hood" are marginalized far more often in popular culture than "hood" black folks. Nobody questions the blackness or realness of a 50 or a Jay or a Wayne or even a Tyler Perry and they have all gotten rich glorifying the "bad blacks" but any black person that does not adhere to the stereotypes instantly gets the "Is he black enough?" shyt.

I can't relate at all to what dude is talking about... The projects I grew up in were cut throat (Alabama pj's in paterson), as one of the few who made it to college, staying away from the dudes who I grew up with, as much as it pains me to say, is probably the reason that I'm still alive and not in the pen. come to think about, i might be one of the few who made it, in the sense that I'm alive and free and older than 25

maybe it was just that particular pj because I don't remember duncan projects in JC being as bad when I got older

What he said is very true...in the hood there's a community. They all look out for one another but it doesn't change the fact that there is a portion of black folks that hold us back. Black people have to take 2.5 steps for every step every other race takes and we get knocked behind quicker:mjcry:its a bigger deal when a black man robs a store than when a white man does. Its sad but we have to be conscious of our image and the people doing the buffoonery on worldstar or who are flashy on instagram are holding us back because just like in relationships its 80/20 or even 90/10....people base their opinions of blacks on that 10 or 20% :wow:but won't do it to the trailer park trash...even when we do make waves or succeed at something besides sports or music they always attribute it to some fluke or we catch hell while we're in that position. Ask Obama :whew: but he's right but at the same time I think Chris Rock or Charles Barkley are more correct because of the society we live in.
