mood muzik 2 wasnt str8 to the chest spittin and didnt have that flavor to it. and it was alot of emo type stuff, altho most of it was pretty good. i respect what youre saying tho.

writer's block on the other hand was a joint that made niccas spit along with the tracks until their mouths dried up. or at the very least, like others have said, everybody used to bug out to the lyrics all throughout the whopping 80 minute duration.



mood muzik wasnt poppin like writer's block.

maybe to YOU my g..either way..I aint even say that it was as poppin as Writer's Block initially...BUT..people STILL talk about Mood Musik 2...there's way more substance to it...u barely hear anyone mention J.R Writer let alone Writers Block...Mood Musik 2 is WIDELY stated as one of the best mixtapes of the 2000's...

because at least with that budden had some type of buzz going for him with that mixtape and people were checking for budden because with mood muzik 2

Writer's Block 1 was a classic mixtape.

I just think by putting Illmatic in the thread title, people are taking it as you are saying it's equal to Illmatic. So it's like Writer's Block = Illmatic and it isnt.

Now that I understand that's not what you are saying I agree that Writer's Block is one of the GOAT mixtapes.

Iis definitely one of the greatest solo mixtapes ever released imo and also, unfortunately, his biggest downfall as well because Jr could never surpass it. His whole career was him chasing his intial mixtape he put out at 16 years old

that's why I said all 3 are like apples and oranges to eachother and should'nt be compared...no mixtape should be compared to Illmatic unless it's a tribute like Elmatic...

because mood muzik 1 was just old ass freestyles he had already out

nobody checked for that mood muizk 2 because most people thought it was not original material

mood muzik 3 was when people really started checking for budden

because they missed out on mood muzik 2 and they went after the fact
to check out mood muzik 2 and realized oh shyt this was original material

because when mood muzik 2 dropped u got to remember this was two years after his first album flopped and he went off the radar

so when mood muzik 3 dropped they were was some buzz around him
based on the fact he was dropping some og music and it was new
