No it didn't. Atlanta ONLY ended up with all these productions cuz they moved from Wilmington, NC when our THEN Gov HO ass Pat McCrory didn't renew the tax breaks so they left NC in droves and move to Atlanta.

Same thing happening to Georgia happened to Wilmington and tons of hotels, restaurants and other industries reliant on those productions suffered.
NC never became the hub it was setting up to be. Louisiana had more productions going on than North Carolina. Louisiana’s collapse is what gave Georgia the edge

shows that the Louisiana film industry in 2013 overtook that of California for the title of the film-production capital of the world. Of the 108 major-studio productions released into theaters last year, 18 were shot substantially in Louisiana, according to the study. Among them: the Oscar-winning "12 Years a Slave" and "Dallas Buyers Club," as well as such impressive box-office performers as "G.I. Joe: Retaliation," "The Butler" and "Now You See Me."

California and Canada tied for second place, with 15 films each, followed by the United Kingdom (12) and Georgia (9). New York was the primary location for just four films last year, tying it with North Carolina for eighth on the list.

Yep companies will move where it's more cheaper for them. It's how Vancouver became the VFX hub. They got tax breaks and incentives if you watch most movies they have the creative BC logo that means a bunch of work was done here in British Columbia.

Previously a ton of VFX companies were in Singapore, the tax credits were ending there and they already had satellite offices in British Columbia so they upped sticks and moved everybody over.

She made close to 200K/yr in Georgia for over a decade. Yet didn't have enough money to last 1 year?
:dahell:

Throughout the 2010s and early 2020s, the 62-year-old script supervisor had more work than she could handle and earned as much as $200,000 annually.

You feel like a jilted lover,” said Gosselin, who hasn’t had steady work since February of last year and borrowed from her retirement plan to pay bills.
Probably living that ATL life overpaying trying to keep up with the Joneses

US is allowing regulation to price out talent.
Let them go.
GA was subsidizing filing in the state, and with the economic downturn the subsidies are stopping.
Its funny though they claim they are going to the UK, they were bringing in UK people to film in the US for the longest.

If you are making 200k annually and don't invest in anything you are straight up retarded.

2010 - 2020 thats 2 mill earned. More than enough to get started with multi-family building

That lady could’ve been paying off debts, had a family to pay for, other loans, and we don’t know how many years she actually made that much. They said up to, not a consistent 200k. Add to that ATL and its suburbs are expensive so the cost of living eats into that as well.

We don’t know her full situation, I wouldn’t judge so harshly
