Nothing about rocky is trip hop b im sorry. Go listen to roads and tell me where the similarities are. And yeah i admit i might be catching feelings because im passionate about this alt music shyt. Rocky not trash but outside his ear for beats I cant really claim him as some phenomenal artist.

Ive heard m83 on commercials, thats dream pop. Thats mainstream enough for some reg exposure. Im sure if I was at home I could look through my hd and find more. nikkas been sampling that genre before rocky man hes not as visionary as you think. I literally dont think you will find one other person who listened to rocky last lp and a light bulb gOes off in their head and they exclaim "massive attack!"

Even though I'm not feeling M's I'm looking forward to his album especially with production coming from Kanye, Danger Mouse, Juicy J and a Mos Def feature hopefully it's better than his debut which I enjoyed but could've been better if he trimmed it a bit.

just a cheap way to make money, not promoting the album only works for artists that are already popular and have put in the time to make it happen. Since Beyonce did it and Cole was able to do it, other artists think they can get away with it. The artists and their labels now are afraid to pour resources into themselves and so are trying to make this fad the norm to maximize a profit.

In my opinion all it's going to do is hold hip-hop back.

I'd rather have someone tell me their album is out in a few days than keep talking about it for months in advance
