Lack of energy, turnovers, shyt defense, and having the MVP disappear doesn't help.
This. And being killed on the boards.

Can't defend for shyt, basically. KD always gets his against the Warriors but when Waiters and Roberson are getting buckets too it's a wrap. Harrison Barnes is trash too.

They haven't matched OKC's intensity. All the x's and o's and shyt is cool, but if a team is just out-fighting and playing harder that you -- then you're in fukking trouble. OKC has out-fought the Warriors in every game. Transition D is ass. Lazy ass passes all over the court. Players making direct beelines to the rim unchecked. Etc. Etc. Etc.

I'm a firm believer in the psychology of the game and in sports in general. One aspect of that is that teams generally take on the personality of their best player(s). My biggest gripe of Steph as a player is his casual, cavalier, unconcerned attitude because it permeates the rest of the team. I don't really think he can help it. It's who he is, but I actually do perceive it to be a negative. They're good enough where they'd been getting by even whilst being in "chill mode," with 4th quarter flurries and heroics. However, shyt is different now. When Steph comes to play with that fire in his stomach and isn't looking off into the stands and chewing his mouthpiece for 40 minutes of the game, the Warriors are a whole different team. The first Spurs game is an example where he really came to fukking play from the jump. He wanted that shyt and they subsequently blitzed the Spurs.
They're at a fork in the road. Either they decide to match OKC's intensity, or listen to that other voice in their heads telling them that it takes too much effort, too much sacrifice, they already got a ring and so on.
Tell us more........I knew they were fukked when OKC shytted on their "death lineup" in the 3rd last game. Durant being a 7 footer + the shooting and Ibaka and even Adams somehow being quick enough to switch everything = all of Golden State's usual advantages gone

What did they do? They faced a healthy team in the playoffs.
THIS!!!
The first time they have faced a HEALTHY and ELITE team.
