If I remember correctly Wayne kinda hated on him. When Amilli first dropped in 2008 on the radio, it was Wayne and Cory going back & forth and Cory was smoking Wayne’s boots.

Then the next month the video dropped and it was a half-decent Wayne only version. Lil wayne realized he messed up Cory’s chance and felt bad later on and that’s how we got “6 Foot, 7 Foot” which wasn’t as good.

DETROIT (Do Every Thing Right Or It's Trouble)
Funny thing that was the original :dead:
They were playing this in heavy rotation until the official video came out with Lil Wayne walking all over the place rapping in a “almost” long shot. If you listen closely Wayne recorded a whole new version for only him but using the same lyrics. The one with him & Cory flows better. He’s more laid back/dramatic on the album/video version.

Cory's always been dope! Heavily underrated, and never really had the kinda backing you'd need to make moves in NYC, or today's climate in the industry.

He's working on a solo now, and an album with David Bars. Both joints are gonna be CRAZY!! There's never been a question about talent. He's still an elite MC, but one that doesn't get the buzz or exposure MC's tend to get outside of the city. With the right backing and support, he could easily be recognized as one of the nicest lyrically right now in NY. The issues holding him back have always been poor timing and getting caught up in street sh*t. But once he gets focused again, he'll be a problem.

I think he done breh😪

I really wanted him to succeed, but after that gun situation, that might have been his last chance...
