I'm white because I want more theo huxtables on television and less martins?

:heh: you sound young. White people, by and large, are fine with us c00ning it up. The minute we put out entertainment that depicts us as intelligent, responsible, and productive members of society that our children can look up to, it's a wrap! They shut it down. Which means, out of desperation, many black actors and actresses gladly stoop to the level of gross caricature in order to find work. Dave Chapelle described just that when explaining why his show went off the air.
Yes you are white.

I'm black, it's all the same. People want everything to be go back to the way it was when they were growing up, it's not going to happen dude with all the new shyt we have right now.

Celebs aren't even revered anymore, it's all an image thing. Back in the day, superstars were like creatures you couldn't touch, they weren't even human a times.

It's all changed now with social media.

They brought back the arsenio show and I still don't care for it, I used to watch his show religiously back in the day but the feeling is gone.

I have seen some episodes and I wasn't even excited or looking forward to future episodes.

Social networking flipped the game completely. It really is the first time we seen our power over the new world, i.e. www
of course. We have reality stars to do all that papping and nonsense. Movie stars are not even big like a Will Smith, Tom Cruise anymore because the most marketable faces are the ones showing their ass on reality tv.

everything. Everything bad about blacks. The south and crunk was commercially successful, but bad culturally.

NY in 2003 wasn't much better, either. People worshipping the street life and hustling gimmicks

This show was ill, I was shocked the CW canceled it, considering how weak their lineup was and still is.

Well NY isn't on that anymore. they were forced off it. Today rap is not as hard because NY and LA fell off.

It became like that because of the skinny jeans, Kanye West, the 90s kids coming of age, and mimicking the southern sounds. Its a factor of things that killed off the old NY.

True true. But the question is now why does it have to been killing nigggas or skinny jeans? no middle ground.

Balance hasn't been in play since the late 80s in Hip Hop. Broken homes, being fueled by stereotypes and ignorance, the fear of individuality, the shaming labels like nerd/sellout/c00n/white-washed

Plus now, many of these kids grandfathers aren't the Bill Cosbys anymore, they the Alpos that got old and have nothing of worth to pass down. The family unity broken down and we get cats like Peter Gunz that is a grandfather, but still on that ratchet shyt.

I miss seeing real Black people, black music and dancing and black comedy on tv. Seems like right after 1999/2000 everything got shutdown. It was like a new integration or something. Seems like all the new all Black TV programming is some extreme kooning.

:snoop:

Remeber all the Black Shows in the 1990s??
