On top of that, the Suns weren't supposed to be in the finals but the basketball gods blessed them with enough luck (Lakers, Nuggets, and Clippers were all missing key star players due to injuries) in their favor to make it that far.

Milwaukee has been a championship contender for the past 3-4 years and they've had plenty of playoff experience (something Phoenix didn't have for the most part) so it was inevitable that they'd win a championship/the series.

The Suns are a good team but overachieved.
