Yep, and even before they can become doctors or accountants the discouraging of nerdy guys from going down the intellectual path and shutting them down early is self destructive.

"B b bu but he got no swag and social skills. He ain't gonna amount to shyt" :birdman:

"Yo....I just wanna say, I'm sorry for treating you like shyt. Would you mind hooking up a breh with a job? I got child support from 4 kids and these courts ain't letting up. Gotta help me man. We go way back. I'm broke nikka!" :sadcam:

Black nerds are ostracized then when they become successful, marry white women and never come back to the community, they're sellouts eventhough the black community pushed them away first.

Push away your best and brightest because they can't afford Jordans and don't have swag brehs :russ:

It's not as hard being a white nerd or an Asian nerd because there's a much larger group of people just like them to socialize with. If a black nerd doesn't make it to a HBCU where he can be around other smart black kids like him and feel accepted, it's a wrap. The beckies at the state school will have their claws in him and he's as good as gone.

That is true though. Those nerdy dudes in high places can help fellow black people with connects and hookups.

Some people in this thread dissing nerdy dudes are acting like we are still in high school. Forever immature :dead:

This era, cats think that 30 is the new 20 shyt too far. Still hanging on to what rappers say what is cool and how it's all about social validation from people that don't give a fukk about you.

Ass backwards in anyway you cut it.

I don't remember the real smart kids EVER getting picked on. It was usually the dirty kids who you could tell came from a real fukked up house and had spaghetti stains on their clothes and shyt. And they would stink. They usually dropped out by 11th grade tho.

Now they're dead, locked up, or a fiend :mjcry:

"Nerds" or "Geeks" no longer exist in real life or at least here in NY. EVERYONE loves Comic Con, if you don't then you're just a try hard... Video Games are now viewed as an entertainment like movies/TV shows rather than a "toy". I see more and more "thugs" talk about superhero TV shows like the Flash, Daredevil and Gotham. Hell who ISN'T watch Captain America: Civil War??? I know many hardened OGs at my job who is talking about that movie and taking their girl to it. While American superheros is becoming more accepting in our society. Anime still has some time to be "accepted" as its viewed as "weeboo" or whatever you call it. But back in my high school I did know manu drug dealers that watched anime on the low. But really who hasn't watched DBZ growing up????

But anyways like I said "nerds" and "geeks" don't exist in real life people. What exist is socially awkward people. You can bag a girl and still watch Attack on Titan, just don't be all obsessed with it in the relationship. Its that simple.

Also back in my HS all of us respected this VERY SMART Ghanaian kid who skipped grades...He never got picked on or anything.

:mjlol:Nerds are socially challenged bitter brehs/brehettes with dusty clothing who blamed all their problems on everybody else.
:salute:Now my smart black folks or what I like to use my Black excellence scholars is what we should fight for and back. These was the brehs/brehettes nobody called nerd, was cool with everyone and got women/men and great grades. Was never on that im better than you steez and always willing to help the homies out. Could hang with the best and worst of them and hold their own:lawd:

The way I've seen the terms used elsewhere, "nerd" implies someone who was quiet, maybe socially awkward, and did really well in school academically. "Geek" was more used for people who where really into some specific subject or activity, especially something non-mainstream, regardless of how they did academically. In reality though, people use them interchangeably, probably because they aren't mutually exclusive.

From my personal experience, people were all over the place growing up. Some of the most academically accomplished people in high school were also really popular in general. One girl in particular I remember was a straight up loudmouth and dressed her ass off, but her grades were always on point. Some of the people I knew who might've been labeled as geeks or nerds generally had terrible grades :heh:

The way I've seen it used on this site, "black nerd" seems to mean whatever someone wants it to mean :francis:
