Soul Tapes were OK... but There Is No Competition was garbage. Papoose level. I stopped checking for him after that. And again last song I heard from him he was rapping like Migos with a confused voice.

Naw, Fab got looks late in the game because he had the right cosigns and an established brand. I supported actual NYC talent like Max B and Charles Hamilton, but cosign geeks like u put the image ahead of the music and didnt give em fair looks. Dont talk to me about support breh I was checking for Fab since the Triangle Offense era. Since that Money Power Respect freestyle with Nore and Cardan etc. etc. U cant tell me hes as nice now as he was then and if u make excuses like 'its a different time now' u are just cosigning garbage for the sake of not admitting NYC fell off

Problem wth fab is he tried to appeal to the masses when things began to shift. His flow, content and delivery change to sound more like drake, migos etc.

He should've stayed spitting the gutter shyt. The last Soul Tape was dope and is what he should build on.

From the rhymes to the styles, it was all Cam and he had confidence in his shyt...

If Fab had that self confidence, he would have been a force in the game...Mind you I doubt he would have had to go thru all the blackballing killa did...

He didnt have the vision or the technical depth to compete.

Plus he didnt have a crew to hold him down. Cam in his prime was helped a lot by the presence and chemistry of the Diplomats. Same with 50 n G Unit and Jay n the Roc. NY's downfall was brought on by an abandonment of competition and identity and Fab embodies that.

You lose the argument when you bring up charles hamilton & max b, nikkas who aint dtopped nothing hot in 5+ years. We are talking NOW. And at the current moment Fab is putting out quality projects.

And just because someone is not as good as they were does not mean they are garbage now.

Nobody is putting him in no top 5 Rapper list. Fact is he still can spit and makes quality music.

The problem I have with some is it seems they dont listen to the music. They just go off a single or Twitter to mold they view of if he still got it or not.

Fab about the only ny rapper I still listen too. That last soul tape was one of the best mixtapes that came out when it did. He keeping N.Y. alive to be honest cuffing season and ready were getting spins down south, and thats hard for any N.Y. artist nowadays
