its gonna be someone under her to replace. no way they find someone new. probably waiting to see how these new films go production wise.

Even if it's someone under her, I highly doubt that person is gonna have the pull Kennedy did messing with creative over and over again destroying the quality of the IP and making it a hard sell. There's gonna be more people fighting for control and we just gotta hope there's more checks and balances and we get a real vision and not "one project. make me money, we'll deal with the rest later" mentality Kennedy had.

Yeah, she needs to go. She was a good producer on Indiana Jones and several other projects, but her creative vision for the franchise just wasn’t it. (Not saying this makes the MAGA anti-woke crowd any better, because we already know what time it is with those clowns )


The sequel trilogy was a profound letdown that defiled the most iconic trio of heroes in film history, and defeated the whole point of cinema’s greatest redemption arc.

…and that really hurts because this generation needs Star Wars and its message more than ever. The culture war made everyone forget that Star Wars is grounded in morality, family, mythology, spirituality, world history, the hero’s journey, and thousands of years worth of folklore and classical storytelling tradition. It came around in a dark time for America, right after Nixon’s impeachment, Vietnam, and the draft.

America needed Star Wars to remind them what really mattered, and you see how lost today’s generation of kids are, since they aren’t growing up with movies, shows, or toys that reinforce being a good person. Their only “heroes” are influencers and rappers.
Anime is the only avenue kids really have today if they want to be exposed to dopeness.

It feels like most parents these days are just letting social media raise their kids to be mindless consumers at best, and food for the capitalist prison industrial complex at worst.

The truth is that I don’t trust Disney to bring in someone new that’s going to restore Star Wars back to its former glory… but I really want to be wrong about that.

DEADLINE: We’ve read all these speculative reports that you are out, that there’s a frenzy for the next person who’s going to take over Lucasfilm. What is the truth?

KATHLEEN KENNEDY: The truth is, and I want to just say loud and clear, I am not retiring. I will never retire from movies. I will die making movies. That is the first thing that’s important to say. I am not retiring. What’s happening at Lucasfilm is I have been talking for quite some time with both Bob and Alan about what eventual succession might look like. We have an amazing bench of people here, and we have every intention of making an announcement months or a year down the road. We are in lockstep as to what that’s going to be, and I am continuing. I’m producing Mandalorian the movie right now, and I’m also producing Sean Levy’s movie, which is after that. So I’m continuing to stay at Lucasfilm and looking very thoughtfully with Bob and Alan as to who’s stepping in. So that is all underway, and we have every right to make that announcement when we want to make it.

They need to reboot Star Wars, or push the story so far into the future there are no connections to any released material. Getting George Lucas to direct the first new film and set the stage would be a very wise decision.

They also could go back to Revan vs Mandalorians , there is a lot of material. And a Stan/nerd already on staff in filoni he just needs the keys.
