WTF is wrong w/ Acura? Why cant they get any designs right?

Don't know if that model year had the Bluetooth Unit (HFL) but I had mine disconnected because my battery would die if I didn't drive it for a few days. I done already put 50K on mine in just over 3 years. It's been a champ though, always a pleasure to drive. What's that TLX been like?

Maybe that was my problem. And I NEVER used the Bluetooth in there. But yea the battery kept dying if I didn't drive. When it happened the morning I had a job interview I had had enough of that bullshyt.

The TLX is dope. Mine is the base, so no v6 or navigation which is fine for me.

It has different driving modes so when u use the sport mode, is really quick. Also I'm getting like 30mpg driving it versus 20mpg in the TL which took premium fuel where this one can use regular.

I'm actually not missing the V6 like I thought I would.

Yeah you were suffering from that HFL drain. If the unit doesn't work, it'll keep attempting to boot up even when your car is powered off causing the drain on the battery. I found out about on the Acurazine forum a couple years ago. There was a proposed class action lawsuit filed last year: Honda Class Action Says Acura's Bluetooth System is Defective

If they win I'm definitely hopping on that

Had an 08 TL Type-S A-Spec for the past year as a transitional car between the S4 and now my C43. Wish I just kept it, but felt it was too good to just sit there/be a winter car. Outside of the NSX, I still think that is their best car.

New TLX A-Spec is quite a looker though. They need a Type-S version of that!

Yep, Acura had the luxury sedan game on lock in the late 90s/early 2000s. I be trying to put my boys on to them older Acura and Lexus but they don't wanna listen. My girl parents got a 02' TL with 260k, ride as smooth as any new car.

Bruh, that generation of RL was absolute garbage. That was the generation where Honda basically said fuk it....release any fukin thing. It only had like 210hp and was by far the worst, most boring looking RL produced. The 2005-2009 RLs at least had a bit of style, 300hp, AWD and some decent technology...one of the most underrated cars of all times...

The MDX is the only thing keeping A ur a afloat more or less.

Honestly the accord and civic are way ahead of the tlx and rlx in terms of looks.

The MDX is the only thing keeping A ur a afloat more or less.

Honestly if you buy a 2017 and newer Honda CRV you are getting a shytload of features for a little over 26k . RDX is way behind but they say 2019 model should change that

Same story with the MDX, seems like a pilot gets you a lot more for the money (even they are shyt now that they dropped the boxy design ). Once they start adding features to the MDX again, they will take over again (at least that segment)

I've heard that all wheel drive they have is really great though so it's not all bad though

I don't really mind the new tlx bc they are moving in a better direction but as far as the entire brand rn, Idk why anyone would go out of there way to overpay for a shyttier version with a different badge

Since I keep seeing everywhere that the brand name is kinda in the shytter and they are struggling saleswise, is it a lot easier to get a great deal on a new Acura . Or are they gonna try to shark you on the deal bc they need the dough

Naw if you get an Acura new they will give it away.the dealership will make the money back in used sales and service.
