Dear Diary (TheColi if yall happened to give a fukk),
I'm minding my business in my studio bracing and staining wood panels as I have been since 2020.
And then all of a sudden I get a phone call of a potential client who call me asking why do I stain my paintings.
I told the client I appreciate them collecting my art and its greatly appreciated. Then I said I stain the wood bracing to keep clients from framing my paintings. I want my art to be wall ready once it leaves it my studio. Frames are for photographs and art on paper.
The client then says that they found a wonderful gold frame to put on my art piece.
I geaux: "Well I just explicitly stated that you should not frame my paintings. I spent a lot of time staining my paintings so it can be as it is. If the museum don't put a frame on my art...why should you?"
Why do you think the wood panels all have a mahogany stain to it? It's presentation of an original work all handcrafted by the original artist.
Am I tripping?????
Here's some art for ya troubles reading bout me bytching:
