Naw they buy it. Just don't tell me you gonna put a frame on it. That's like taking Emeril's recipes and changing it and then telling him.......

At the end of the day, art is communal, outside interpretation and experience is just as valid as your initial vision, check your ego. This reminds me of David Lynch telling people not to watch movies on phones and small screens, despite the fact that for millions of viewers in the developing world, it's the only option. I have family overseas that have seen classics only on their phones. You'd think an artist, someone who should understand subjectivity the most, would be open to the idea that once you give your art away it doesn't belong to you anymore.

That's different. That's not changing the media up on presentation of the actual product.

A frame actually takes attention away from paintings. That's why alot of museum these days do not frame contemporary art. Mostly the art you will see framed these days are beacoup old and they all have gaudy frame jobs.

And my art always will belong to me.....they have my soul in it...they my children:to:

OP I wouldn't sweat it.

"the customer is always right"

It'd be like if you were a chef and prepared a beautiful ribeye steak and served it to some1 and they slathered it in A1 or Ketchup.

You gonna feel sick to your stomach and offended but you just have to calmly walk off and go out back for a cigarette and think about how u just got paid.

But did I know or see them slather A1 or any sauce on my Wagyu Cowboy Steak?

If I don't know about it I'm gucci. But I was preturbed even after I explained to the client why I geaux to such tedious means for presentation.

And that'd the thing about me...all money ain't good money. I had to tell a couple of galleries not to sell my work. Especially when I got into an argument about why a museum is important to artists. The married couple had the audacity to call me bipolar after they insulted artists and museums in a gallery.

I don't need everybody money and all money ain't good money. Malcolm X taught me that.

Once they buy it, they can do whatever they want with it, unless they signed some contract stating otherwise

people appreciate things in different ways.
