the interviewer trapped that flabbynsick fukk real good

he can't talk shyt about Drake without also condemning Big Marky and Easy E (who and who?)
Nobody can talk shyt about Eazy-E anyway. He let everyone know Cube and Ren wrote his rhymes. He didn't give a shyt since he was never suppose to be a rapper anyway.

KRS views on this in reality, represent how having "writers" has always been viewed in general...as more or less a non-issue. There's more to MC'ing than just lyrics as he acknowledged here. I'm sure there were alot of vets in the industry that were caught off guard last year when this "ghostwriter" shyt popped up...and why people were pretending like they suddenly gave a fukk about ghostwriting, when really it was just a way to try to take away credibility from Drake...when he never had any credibility from the get-go. You don't need him having ghostwriters to try to de-legitimize him in the genre...how about the fact that he had to be coached up on how to say "nikka" properly :heh:

And the fact that he had to adopt the mannerisms, slang & dialect of a foreign people in order to gain legitimacy in the genre...basically a rap game amos & andy....these are far more egregious crimes against the culture than "ghostwriting".

You also have to understand that KRS and other rappers from his era are almost entirely fed by foreign/cac vultures like Drake...they're the only people still putting still putting money in his pocket...so he'd be shytting where he eats if he kept it ALL THE WAY REAL on dudes like Drake.

I was with KRS when he was saying have somebody else write your rhymes diminishes you in the eyes of those that write their own rhymes. :ehh:
I was with him when he said nobody ever wrote a rhyme for him :wow:
But wtf was he talking about he would have recited a rhyme that Rakim wrote for him? :ohhh:

:mjcry:

At the end of the day, at least it was theoretical :yeshrug:

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I don't even like Drake but I know like KRS knows most dudes have had help writing their raps. Every artist you can name damn near, from the GOATs to lesser rappers have had help putting verses together. That's why I wasn't at all surprised about the Drake shyt. I didn't think there was a chance he didn't have help. He's too consistent in making hits. That takes a team.

KRS answer wasn't that far off from Royce. Basically it puts the person in a different category. They're not top tier lyricist anymore but they can still be a dope rapper.
nikka is a flip flopper fam. Singing a whole different tune on the radio wit Kiss. And the Rakim shyt he said was absolutely deplorable. That was his rival peer right there. Straight up clown shyt. And as far as the ghostwriting shyt. It happens more than u think and less than u think at the same time. It's def not as rampant as u sayin. This is coming from someone who used to ghostwrite.

Just tell me Prodigy wrote his own shyt from the Infamous through the original leaked version of Murda Musik. :mjcry:
In fact, tell me somebody else wrote Infamy :lolbron:
Lmao didn't Havoc say he used to write for Prodigy too?

I know a lot of groups back in the day would have one person who wrote the majority of the rhymes for the group.

It's rampant bro. Very rampant. I'm not saying outright penning entire songs for people but help writing is very constant throughout the genre and always has been. Refresh my memory on the Kiss interview, what he say.

I thought the story was Hav tought P how to rhyme and P tought Hav how to make beats.

I got no issues if Hav had input on Prodigy's verses. They're a group. :yeshrug:
But I've never heard Hav was giving verses to P to recite in the Infamous days or after.

No. Help is rampant. But "ghostwriting" ain't rampant like people making it. It's like people don't really have a true understanding of what ghostwriting is. nikkas having reference tracks for full verses and songs is not rampant amongst legitimate artists. Kiss was sayin how the ghostwriting shyt hit him worst than the Mike Brown situation. He said he couldn't believe people just glossed over that and didnt care. And they was talkin bout writing rhymes and getting nice and coming wit bars n shyt. KRS was agreeing with him and even put in his 2 cents.

Okay yeah that's fair. Help is rampant. Outright penning whole songs isn't. But I don't think that is what Drake had done either. And this is from someone who doesn't even like Drake lol.

Nah he wrote Prodigy's raps. Both him and P said it

But it's pre-Infamous.
