I can MAYBE see fining Clay Matthews for the hit since it wasnt a football play at that point, but LaVonte was just doing his fukking job! Yeah the PUSH was late but the dude was just being cautious with how fast Geno is.

The owners just had to pay a little under $1 billion to retired players because of head "injuries." These players knew what they were signing up for and still blamed us for what happened. Out of the kindness of the owner's hearts, a large sum of money was paid to help them out, though they were not at fault for any of this.

With that serving as the backdrop to this egregious act by LaVonte David on Sunday, we felt it was necessary to dock him $7,800 pay. How would you feel if that was your quarterback who received such a vicious hit? Imagine if that was Peyton Manning and his surgically fused spine fell apart?

If the players want to sue us for what THEY do on the field, we are left with no choice but to dole out heavy handed penalties.
