He went through every trend possible in the span of 5 years :hhh::mjlol:I was a big NL fan buying every release possible, but as I was gradually buying some of the 1999 releases (starting with Sillkk’s Made Man), all I could think of was “wow this is ass”, even as a 12 year old :laff:
This is how he made his money and why he should always be studied. His was one of the first labels where people were just buying everything that had that tank on it, without even waiting to hear it. I knew a couple people like you. I’d bet there were at least 25-50,000 dudes like y’all. If you still have that collection in good condition I’d hold onto it cause it’ll be worth something once people really understand why there’s value there.

And then P had the good sense to have multiple releases every month. A lot of it hasn’t aged well, but alotta that early NL from when he was still in Richmond and then NO NL until about 98, when CM took over went hard than a muthafukka. That west coast bad boys with cbo and them and it. Down south hustlers with all those artists.

He should also be studied for how he most likely fumbled that fortune away by signing the power of attorney, and being too arrogant to evolve. I can tell P is the type of dude you can’t tell shyt, and he can’t see that the way he’s going about shyt today ain’t it.

He’s become known for cheap shyt, so he should never be anywhere near any of the products he puts out. What he should do is develop a line for the dollar generals and family dollars. He can put out his snoop snacks and moneyatti shoes for 10 bucks, and whatever other little cheap shyt he wants to put out.
