God knows no one but me bought this album, and this album had 0 buzz, so there is probably only the one copy I bought in existence :shaq2:.

RZA came along and dug this outta my trashcan, put it in a silver box, and sold it for millions.:leon:They didn't make him the leader of the Wu for nothing

That's why you should always be looking to create art. Wu Tang, Nas, Bone Thugs, these nikkaz made art. Soundscapes. It's cheaper to pay a milly for this album than to pay a sh*tload of rappers for a movie score. I could definitely see this music as a background to a Tarantino or Scorcese flick. Wu Tang could have been the Rolling Stones, nikkaz just didn't care. :mjcry:

they were reporting that this sold long ago wtf is the truth

According to a release by Paddle8, the upstart auction house that sold the double-album, Once Upon A Time In Shaolin has been sold to a “private American collector” for a price “in the millions.” The sale was agreed upon in May, but it took months to finalize contracts and legal protections for the unusual record.

Here is why RZA will be only memeber to get paid a nice amount, he owns the Wu Tang Logo, Wu Tang Clan name and any likeness to the group...meaning Cilcaringz could not have sold this as a Clan album without paying the RZA...

Cilva is the mastermind behind this album, he paid for verses without telling anyone he planned on making it a Clan album...i honestly believe he didnt start creating this record as a clan album...after he got most of the album done, he came up with the auction idea and pitched it to RZA and the abbott being a geek now, loved it...

Crazy thing is, the agreements clan members signed after getting paid for the verses were the generic sign off contracts which state, cilva can use the artist names, likeness to promote the album...in sure the members didnt know it was a Clan album lol

Contracts my nikkas, rappers gotta add clauses as well...tbh, in this business many people get jerked...i know nikkas that are still waiting for verses from clan members and other legendary rappers...

Im not mad at some of these legends feeling betrayed lol.

Its business, right?
