Wu Tang has put out more subpar material that classic

Thread needs to be fleshed out. What do you consider the classic material? Are we just talking group releases and releases from the 9 members? How do you factor in the good but not great material?
OP statement can be said for Rakim, KRS-One, Jay-Z, Cam, Common (actually he's about 50/50), LL, Cube, Kane, 1/2 of Lil Wayne's catalog is "Wobble, Wobble", Snoop...etc.
Wu actually has a better percentage than most. They have only one group album that can be considered wack 8 Diagrams, Ghost has 1 wack album only (More Fish), Rae is 3/5, U-God 2.5/5, Deck..eh...Masta Killa 3/3, GZA 4.5/5, Meth 2/4, RZA 2/4, Dirty 1/2...as far as good-great albums goes. None of the Killabeez really have wack albums. Their compilations are hit/miss The Swarm was classic, The Sting was miss, the Pollen was ehhh...Legendary Weapons, Chamber Music & Iron Fist soundtrack were pretty good. They have a 20 year career and are still popular and still putting out great music.

I always liked the individual group albums more than the group stuff
They're still one of the some of the few rappers worth playing nowadays. Real music, less sensationalism

at this nikka saying the Wu legacy is "tarnished". Wu is the greatest rap group of all time...hip hop's Beatles, still rock major coliseums and stanned by the biggest artists in hip hop currently and this dude calls their legacy "tarnished"

Nah, most of the posters on this site respect Wu and have love for a lot of their music. It's the jealous Bone Thug stans, trolls and cornballs who "hate" on them in here. In the "real world" I've never really ran across too many people who hate on Wu. And the few hip hop fans I've come across who aren't the biggest fans of theirs still heavily respect them and justly looks at them as hip hop legends.
