Man, woman, and child
Except X had already tried to get on in 92 and Cam was in Children of the corn during Wu's time so wtf are you talking about ?

X and Cam actually put a halt to the shiny suit era in 98... something Wu couldn't do prior to them

It's my uptown bias showing...i'm no troll but i prefer ghost, gza, meth solo albums over any Wu album

Eitherway I picked Outkast
I wouldn't say Cam put an end to the shiny suit era. He actually tried to ride that wave at first. The Wu was out before that era

Both DMX and Cam were into twisted/satanic/shock rap in '92 and '93. Griminess came later in DMX & Cam's catalog. Wu influenced everybody.

Philly and Harlem brought in the new era after Wu...post 2001. And things really took off in 2003 with the "movement" wave. Between mixtape rappers, Jersey, Philly, Harlem, the South, Smack DVDs etc...this is the era when Ja Rule and pop rap got crushed.

Don't try to lump eras into each other.

Which groups is more important to hip hop as a whole? Wu-Tang

Which made the better music? Wu-Tang

Which is your favorite? Wu-Tang

Which had more classics? Wu-Tang

...I'm a huge Kast fan and understand NWA's legacy, but they just don't compare to the Clan:wow:

You implied X and Cam were there due to Wu..... How ? When all three were out during that time

There is no after Wu... it's after Badboy which is when X, Big L, Cam and Pun started to shine in 1998...followed by Em and Jay

I aint sh!ttin on Wu ... love the solo artist projects but my choice is Outkast based on the OP and questions asked

If that's the case you can argue Jay-Z was not influenced by Nas, B.I.G., or Wu since he was out in 1989 making Hawaii Sophie and rapping fast like Jaz-O & Fu-Schnicken.

X was grimy during 1992-1994 though

Cam was grimy too

Wu may have influenced later rappers but you can take X and Cam off that list

Jay-Z is the biggest chameleon not named Aubrey in rap
