I wonder how many of the accused (not sure if any are convicted) rapists and domestic abusers under AAA employ are kept around given WWE’s history of employing those types.

Anyway this is clearly a direct response to AEW working with both AAA and CMLL and it's very funny they're so pressed about having to talk about AEW in nearly every interview during media week for WM. And running the first AAA/WWE event about a week before the already announced AEW/CMLL show. Real Vince shyt going on.

Triple really outdid himself this mania build with the bullshyt. It's hilarious to watch at this point.

WWE wanted El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. He rejected them because they wanted him to get rid of the mask. I imagine WWE keeps him. He’s the best or second best wrestler on that roster.

WWE probably keeps Alberto now based on what little I’ve read. They should want to keep Laredo Kid and Dragon Bane. Forgot to mention Octagon Jr. earlier. He’s definitely a keeper.

Pagano, Psycho Clown, and Sam Adonis would be wise to keep in the short term for name recognition and maintaining some roster stability in the interim if nothing else. If you’re going to run a NXT vs. AAA show you’re going to have to field some notable AAA talent, after all.

A few of the men I’m not familiar with, and I don’t know much about the women’s roster.

What if I told you AAA already has years of bad business and that’s why they had to be bailed out by WWE?

I already know that. It would still take years of WWE being in charge and losing money for them to conclude they have to close shop.

People like luchablog saying that AAA only has a handful of guys under contract, most have been freelancing like Psycho Clown apparently. Also said that AAA doesn't own any of their own arenas in Mexico (like CMLL does) and that they just lost their TV deal in Mexico.

Does this all sound true to you? I'm no "expert" on this

If there's one english speaking person on the internet that knows lucha and has real info + good guesses/good sense on that side of the biz, it's luchablog. He's not infallible but he's the most reliable you are gonna find.

Their TV deal with Space is very weird. I don’t know what is the deal with it but sometimes the network just won’t even list on the schedule but then it just airs. Some weeks they’ll add it to the schedule last minute. Some weeks it be on the schedule well in advance. Some weeks it just won’t air at all. Week to week you just never what the fukk is going on with it. Would indicate to me that it’s considered by Space to be very low priority programming

And yeah they don’t have many talents under contract, because they are struggling to pay them. They’ve become very heavily reliant on using free lancers, and some of the more notable ones they use have been used less and less because of $$$

I know they lost their American TV deal last year. It got canceled after being on the air for less than a year.

And RobViper to a lesser degree, but he can have an agenda and does not make even the slightest attempt to hide it.

Like he has a fairly infamous hate for Rush and Dralistico that’s been going on for longer than I can remember and it has gotten pretty personal. I’m not sure what the origin of it is but he never shies away from a chance to shyt on them. Especially Rush since Rush is the more notable of the two, and, to be fair, is constantly fukking up.

If you want to know where a lucha libre wrestler is, it’s generally safe to assume these days that it’s not AAA.
