Other than the tapes I dont get the move cause I dont expect this WWE to utilze all these sub promotions they have now to move people arund and get reps
I could be wrong but it seems the main two reasons are to limit AEW's reach in México by officially cutting them off from AAA and getting a stronger foothold in México (a market that can always be exploited, for lack of a better word).

AEW basically cut themselves off from AAA when they aligned with CMLL.

I never really understood their alliance with AAA to begin with given they started working with New Japan before they did AAA. At the time, CMLL banned talent weren’t even allowed on New Japan affiliated shows, so guys like the Lucha Bros couldn’t be on Forbidden Door because they had worked AAA. They eventually worked things out with that, but by that point AEW was basically done with AAA.

The typical AEW dikk riders have a burning hate for AAA, a show they never watch, and are shytting on this move..I wonder why :jbhmm:
I mean do you?

Matter of fact, minus either of the top two promotions, do you watch any other promotion enough to know what's going on?

I don't watch AAA, but I read enough from wrestling circles and news to know that their reputation proceeds them and that until yesterday, they were in a hole.

Stan’s in a whole had no problem with them when Tony was using their talents & having Kenny hold their titles

Now all the sudden it’s fukk em:pachaha:
AAA has gone down the shytter as highlighted by the fact they barely have any contracted talents because everyone else left over not being paid.

They’ve got so few talents and money now that they are only averaging one show a week a year after running over 120 shows.

Just about every lucha libre fan shyts on AAA :manny:

It's facts that AAA was a dying company and CMLL is much bigger in Mexico. It's not on some "stan shyt" like you're trying to make it.
this:

is my point.

i'm more interested in the IP and naming acquisition stuff, and them funding AAA. Pentagon Jr getting his name is really interesting to me. I wonder if they'll change. And maybe some of the luchadores showing up, as well and randoms like psycho clown and el nino hamburgesa i guess.

They can keep the exoticos though :scust:

It is no different from the ROH acqusition but oddly this is viewed differently
