WWE World Hvt. champion Daniel Bryan was involved in the top-rated segment on Monday's Raw without being present.

The segment with Stephanie McMahon discussing Bryan's WWE Title status - teasing a potential Bryan appearance - and John Cena's interruption boosted the second hour and overall show, as it was by far the highest-rated segment until the over-run.

Stephanie-Bryan-Cena in Q5 scored a 2.32 m18-49 rating, which compared favorably to a 2.41 over-run rating for the teased Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns match that turned into Seth Rollins turning on The Shield to join Evolution.

The actual meat of the Stephanie-Bryan-Cena segment outdrew the over-run, as the 9:06 to 9:12 p.m. block drew 1.584 million viewers versus 1.519 million viewers for the over-run. Also, the peak viewership in Q5 topped peak viewership in the over-run.

Ehh if anything this proves they need heels more than anything right now. Orton/Bryan was played out, they couldn't get Wyatt away from Cena, HHH moved right onto the Shield....Kane was the only ready made heel they could use.

The booking is just trash all together, surprised they have handled The Shield this well.

They should be building up heels for DB to run through and put on clinics with, I'm just hoping his neck isn't shot to shyt or else that Brock match is gonna be worthless

I vaguely remember Austin and Foley having some good brawls though. I remember Austin throwing Foley off the stage onto some cars that were at ringside as part of the set.

Foley to me is way more interesting than Kane. The fact that he got 3 different gimmicks over around the same time is crazy to me.

I had no problem with the matches.

But I'm just saying it's not like they had a big name lined up for Austin.

Oh, yeah Kane is just...there to honest. I have no interest in that dude anymore. Kane matches are usually meh to okay, you're right.

Foley wasn't as big back then yeah. The HIAC stuff and the HHH feud came later but Foley was still credible somewhat before that.Even giving HBK a run for his money in the main event at Mind Games and also going at with Taker beforehand. With Kane even at his size, nobody believes he's gonna beat Bryan for the title in 2014. The matches just feel like filler.

I do think they shoulda stripped him given what he's been thru the fans would start the rally all over again. Bryan is still a hot act and a very sympathetic character so his return chase would be fun. As much as it pains me to admit it, would be even cooler if Hunter was the one who had the belt when he came back to take what's his.

I only hate the Kane thing because the whole team Hell no storyline isn't being played off, there should be an explained reason Kane is trying to ruin him other than "I wear a mask so I'm crazy" seems lazy.

Turned on Kane? When was the last time anyone even liked Kane? 2002? Remember, this is the same dude that jobbed in under 1 minute against the Shield at Mania. The very next week he's challenging for the title. shyt makes no sense.
