The word "diva" brings out bad connotations, always has in my mind. It's even worse now that they have a show based around the word. There was no reason to ever have two female titles anyway so I don't know why they ever created the Divas title. Though they might want to consider a women's tag belt.

They ushered in an era where they felt they could develop talent themselves and uses in-house green talent in place of real Indy grassroots guys and women.
So, the divas title was supposed to be a placeholder for that time period.
Where they acknowledged the divas brand was inferior workrate wise.

6 month Divas title run and then just as her and Natty looked like they might revolutionise shyt with the whole Divas of Doom/Pin-Up-Strong angle she was jobbed out week after week. Retired around about the time Natty was embroiled in her farting angle and things shifted back towards "perky bimbos".

I'm still a bit pissed off about it tbh. Beth Phoenix was the motherfukking queen of this shyt.
