Vince was billionaire when HHH was running things.

Listens to the fans and puts the belt on Byran and the company losses money. :sas1:
he's still running things, nothing he's done was forced upon him :sas2:

WWE will either be out of business in 5 years or Dwayne Johnson will have to purchase it to save the Industry :blessed:

Serious question here: is the large financial blow mainly from the WWE Network or other reasons as well?

none of that money was real. The estimations from the TV contract, the Network and other things were likely overestimated.

The E pretty much over-promised and undelivered.

However, I don't think they are surprised too much by any of this. Maybe a litte

Why don't they use either something similar to the 97-98 Raw is War/99 Smackdown stages or use something like the 95-99 Nitro stage?

It's basic, gives a glitzy feel that Vince/Kevin Dunn like so much and you can put WWE logos damn near everywhere on the stage since they like plastering the logo everywhere.

House shows should only be in small, intimate arenas. I know RAW and maybe Smackdown are too important to not have that gate money, but maybe the scaling back could even improve the product some.

there was no titantron tho...so every backstage segment cant be seen..this was a BIG problem for WCW

Those "backstage segments" are ridiculous anyway.

Interviews is one thing but when you got muthafukkas having private discussions and sharing confidential information with each other... it kind of defeats the purpose if there's a cameraman there broadcasting it in front of a live audience.

One of the many things killing the illusion of kayfabe.

Backstage shyt should feel special, like some breaking news "a brawl has broken out, we're sending a camera man back there" type shyt. These days, almost every interview is conducted backstage. You've got guys showing up to the arena who don't even appear in front of the crowd and just do a skit backstage. It's way out of hand. Majority of promos should be conducted in front of the crowd. Force these dudes to adapt and feed off the crowd. Exceptions would be if you're going for an interview as someone is storming out, just arriving or resting after a match. You've got a live crowd yet you're making them watch TV by doing your shyt in the back. Doesn't make sense.

Remember interviews were conducted privately like in the locker room and shyt? Like right before a match you'd have Mean Gene or Sean Mooney there to get the inside scoop on what's going on through these guys's heads as their about to march out to the ring? It was much better that way. It made the interviews feel more intimate and personal. Like a real sport.

It all just boils down to them not tryna protect the illusion anymore. It's like they just don't give a shyt. It's like somewhere along the line someone high up said "Well they know it's all for show so there's no sense in keeping up the charade anymore..."....... when in reality that couldn't be the more wrong approach.

People wonder why wrestling was so much better back then well maybe it's because they weren't winking into the camera every fukking second. They played the shyt straight.

And alot of skits happen during the interview too, they need to be saved for special moments, like this

TNA handled that pretty well when they would have a "hidden camera" type of vibe for segments like that. I'm not sure if they still do that though because I remember it used when Bischoff was over there.
