A post I made some months back. Just gonna repost.

Believe it or not, the only study I've seen on this issue has stated otherwise.

Which Sport Has Most Politically Liberal Fans?

I'm not sure what the metrics were or how scientific it was, but, I don't necessarily think it's completely off-base.

While we tend to view wrestling fans as just southern type of people that wear trucker hats and drink Budweiser...I think it's clear that there is more to the audience than that.

Honestly...a large percentage of wrestling fans these days seems to be...yuppie hipster types that watch the sport ironically. I think that wrestling may have tapped into the "geek subculture" at this point, which would include a lot of younger people that aren't necessarily conservative in their viewpoint.

The people that go to Hoodslam. Those Brooklyn people. NXT. I think those people are making up a lot of the audience these days.

The wrestling audience, from what I can glean, seems to mostly be composed of :
Families (With their children included)
Stereotypical Republican Cac Types
Minorities
The ironic/geek crowd I was talking about.

Maybe the 45 year old white neckbeard dude is still the largest individual section, but I don't think they have "enough votes" to overturn everyone else.

I think they have a pretty diverse fanbase to be honest. Although I agree that most of the people behind the scenes (Especially the old timers) seem to be heavily on some cac shyt.
