No they didn't.

Eva's being played as the mega heel that doesn't realise she's a heel... given the AMAZING natural clueless expression on her vacuous face and one of the least natural wrestling talents in the history of the business it's really the best option for her. It'll work for a year or so with nuclear smark heat and then she'll disappear forever.

Hopefully at some point along the way we get to see Asuka kick her so hard in the face she lands in the Vivid studio.

Agreed. But in this case, dude opened the podcast with the story, "you'll have a laught at this". For some reason he didn't get the segment and went with what he was told.

It clearly seemed like she was doing a female Bo Dallas type of role. It was tipped off by how all the other divas reacted to her and with her going over the top raising everybody's hands. Seems like she did a great job and fooled lots of people with it.

I dunno...my first impression, watching it live, was that she was clearly meant to come in as a heel.



Every other diva out there treated her like she wasn't shyt. JBL said "not exactly a warm response" and Saxton agreed "no, not at all" . I took it as Eva was clearly playing some sort of naive, obtuse sort of heel (Which, between Bo Dallas, New Day, and Social Outcast, seems to be a popular type of heel in the Fed right now).

At the same time...the WWE *IS* often tone deaf as fukk. All it would take is one dumbass writer suggesting "The crowd will love Eva if she comes out and saves Brie" and Vince agreeing to it.....

Still, RAW is rumored to be completely controlled from the top down, with little to no room for improvisation (Especially if you're not a "top guy"). I feel like, if JBL was given the leeway to acknowledge her boo's, that had to have come from Vince/creative. And no way were the divas going to just all give her the cold shoulder like that without being told to do so.
