The big difference is working one big match every few months versus going 15-20 every other week. None of these women have that much depth as workers to be relied on to deliver on a card this often. NXT was an environment nurturing and coaching them along, with a rapid and supportive fan base that would look past their mistakes, because hey, they're in developmental. The horrible writing of the women combined with being asked to do something beyond their current means has exposed every single last flaw in their game.

Wow. I mean, I'm glad there's no more hot potato for the time being but I had Charlotte winning because I didn't think WWE would end the streak in such an unceremonious, anticlimatic fashion

I mean, why would you spend 18 months building something like that, often in conflict with what would actually make sense and arguably set back the rest of the division...and then blow it on a lame duck PPV?
