Well, the previous head trainer was Bill Demott. I liked how Scott Hall interacted with the talent when he visited the performance center on BG. If he was interested in training these guys that would be a guy who could definitely teach them some shyt. He's a great promo, was an excellent worker and has a mind for the business.
He's said he wanted to

I don't know why you say that. Lots of dudes started out weak in-ring and slowly evolved into a decent hand. Undertaker had his personality on-point waaaaaay before he became decent in-ring.

Looking at the dudes who are legit homegrowns--like, NEVER wrestled before coming to WWE:

Mojo - sucks
Gable - good
Jordan - good
Enzo - sucks

2 for 4...I've seen worse. :ehh:

Honestly, I feel like they've done a very good job this year grooming homegrown talent because they've trained them to be utility players with defined skills. Gable and JJ are skilled in-ring. Baron Corbin is very good in-ring for a big guy. Enzo and Cass are great actors with a ton of charisma and personality. A couple of Mojo's promos from promo class leaked before he got the 'hype' gimmick and he was much more convincing as a tweener heel. I like that they train their guys to not over-rely on highspots because I find that's a crutch for a lot of indy guys lacking personality.

Enzo was named Eric Anthony on the indys i believe so hes not really homegrown either. Cass trained at Johnny Rodz school but was picked up by Matt Striker early in because hes tall

its like they have these midcard trainers who teach these guys how to do all the perfect moves and bumps....but in the end when it comes to charisma...YOU CANT TEACH THAT!

blake & murphy make 0 mistakes in the ring....do i care about them ...fukk no.

vaudvillains are great in the ring for the most part....do i care....not really...kind of..

dash & dawson are great in the ring and put on good matches...but i just cant see myself investing in them

Enzo & Cass are below avg in the ring but their charisma and overall aura puts them ahead of the pack

American Alpha have the charisma AND in ring talent..they are a new favorite

i dont have a huge issue with guys like Norman Smiley teaching...they just need a name down there...someone who put a few butts in seats and was naturally charismatic to give these kids a nudge.

It all just comes down to those guys having 15 years of experience wrestling around the world, they are real pro-wrestlers.

Most guys the WWE brought in from like the mid 2000's til just recently were just these really green guys. A lot of them are really athletic but don't know what the fukk they're doing as far as telling a story in the ring... they just know how to take bumps and trade moves.

I blame the higher ups. That's the wwe style

WWE micromanaging everything is giving their homegrowns a disadvantage

Only ones who seem to be cutting it are the 2nd Gen wrestlers

Curtis Axel is :francis:

:patrice: I think he has a job for life once he's finished.

Like you said, it might have to do with the fact they got lifelong midcarders like Albert, Regal, Norman Smiley, and Robbie Brookside running everything down there.

Those are 3 of the best technical wrestlers over the last 30 years. If anything, I'm surprised that they don't have more catch wrestlers coming through developmental. Also, from the sounds of it, y'all want main eventers teaching them how to work. What's Hogan gonna teach them?:mjlol: :mjpls:

That's pretty much how the women's revolution in NXT happened, because on top of making these chicks work, Sara Del Rey also worked on their in-ring psychology and storytelling which is how girls like Sasha and Becky managed to put on classics.

I said before I wouldn't hire them to do anything more than teach them in ring work and psychology and maybe give a few pointers on character work. On Breaking Ground, Regal was actually giving and knocking down suggestions on character directions. They also got them running the promo class there which is maybe why 80% of em are basic and charisma-less on the mic. I mean Regal was great on the mic but he was never fire like that, and he had like 2 memorable gimmicks that didn't even really ever get over
