Good manners when you eatin' ya sloppy ja-hoes
We will never have 2003 Smackdown again :mjcry:

Everything was better back then on that show

Lesnar was better

Big Show was better (probably the best he was ever booked in WWE)

Michael Cole was better; he actually called moves and sounded like a decent commentator that was excited about the product

The good old days....:sadbron:

Smackdown has been treated like a b*stard stepchild since Brock left in '04. When Heyman had it in '03 it was blowing Raw out of the fukking water. Raw is the flagship show and will always be treated as such.

Brock is/has become stale, him showing up isn't having the same effect anymore. Every time he comes back it's rinse and repeat. How many times are you really gonna get excited about him coming back and suplexing dudes?

Lesnar will definitely help get views though. I agree that they need to utilize him more, but he'll definitely have me watching to see how they progress his storyline.

Part of that was because Raw in '03 was basically "The Triple H Show"

Doesn't matter. They've been using the same format for SmackDown since late 2011. Raw Recaps, Quick promos, Decent match once in a while, Tag Team matches and DQ finishes galore. I would at least like to see SmackDown go back to how it was in 2009 (2003 lite in terms of star power and good wrestling/storylines).

Still CAN'T believe they haven't gone with the angle that Brock never was pinned for the belt at WM 31.

He went in champ, but Roman was who got pinned by Rollins.

But no, they'll talk about Axl still being in the Royal Rumble before that. :heh:
They're scared to put the belt back on Brock, b/c losers had so much of a backlash to it. They really don't have to, and it wouldn't hurt to keep putting him in multi-man matches, until Cesaro takes aways his mythos. My hope is that's next WM.

But Brock deserves and is is book to superpowered to keep around title scene without having the belt, even if he's the perfect champion for it, as he can never be overexposed.

I almost have to applaud Vince and the writers.... that they can have a 2 hour show a few days after Raw and yet still wiggle around every storyline; so that if you missed it, you really missed nothing when Raw rolls back around.

Hell that seems more difficult than just writing a continuation to the story :dead:

Totally agree with 1st paragraph. But how is Brock stale, when you barely see him and people lose their shyt when they do? I'm not really seeing any innovation from the other characters either. The matches (how many times are we going to get Owens/Ziggler) pretty much all look the same, and it's the story being told that sells.

Brock still has a good story, and he's not booked to be completely invulnerable. Stone Cold showed up, either talked some trash or Stunned everyone. Did it really get old? Nah, because it was the context.
